Installation
------------
Copy the file APSP2.bsp to your Quake/quoth/maps directory, then run Quake with the
Quoth mod loaded (quake.exe -game quoth) and type "map APSP2" at the console to load
the map. If you want to play it in deathmatch, you need to activate deathmatch mode
first. If you don't know how, read the Quake manual. I don't know why I am even bothering
with this bit actually; Everyone playing this level knows how to load a custom Quake
level :P


Compatibility
-------------
This level has been fully tested with FitzQuake (by Metlslime) and aguirRe's extended Quake.
For several reasons, this level will not work in unextended engines, noteably the original
Win, GL and DOS Quake's by id. Please get one of the following engines to play this level:

***Anyone not using Fitzquake SHOULD set r_waterwarp to 0 to avoid dodgy water effects and
lots of immersion breaking tearing artifacts!***

Software users may play the map using aguirRe's WinQuake, but since it does not support
transparent surfaces it is not recommended. FitzQuake is the officially supported engine
for playing this level, since it supports transparency, simple waterwarp, fog and a higher
than usual edict limit. While most modern engines should run the map just fine, FitzQuake
is recommended for optimal enjoyment.

The other major advantage FitzQuake has over other engines is that it supports overbright
lighting and fullbrights, and the lack of those features sadly makes monsters difficult
to see in other engines for some reason. Models appear roughly twice as bright in Fitz as
they do in standard GLQuake engines.


LEVEL INFORMATION
=================

Originally, this map was destined to be part of the Base Pack set of levels, for which
Kell and Necros had agreed to create an update for Quoth adding more base enemies and
special entities. The Base Pack was delayed multiple times, missing several targetted
release dates but eventually saw the light of day in a severely reduced form - well,
basically just the mod component with a few people releasing their levels separately.
This level was one of the levels that never made the release, since I was a bit busy
with real life commitments to finish in time. Since I liked what I had started, I
recently decided to pick it up and finish it off.

The name is a reference to "Plumbers Don't Wear Ties" - apparently one of the worst games
ever made. Since the level is flooded, I thought of the player as a kind of extreme plumber.

The following story is based on what I assume must be the content of the game...


Story
-----
John's life at Outpost 47 had always been a simple one. Although John was a Quake
Marine, he never really saw any action. Outpost 47 was situated in the middle of a boring
valley with no apparent strategic significance. Everybody stationed at Outpost 47 - all
102* of them - knew that there was no chance Shub Niggurath's forces would ever head their
way. The only action John and his buddies ever saw was unloading their shotguns at the
range on Sundays and watching the 80s porno channel that John had managed to gain free
access to by rewiring the early warning radar.

Recently however, John's once simple life had become more complex, more exciting. MUCH
more exciting.

A transfer from Outpost 42 had been assigned to the storage area where John was forced
to spend the bulk of his time clearing up leaks from improperly sealed crates, adjusting
malfunctioning thermostats and wiping his boss' piss off the toilet seats. Her name
was Jane. Although she had the bulky, almost polygonal physique of any other Quake marine,
she had the face of an angel, and since he met her, John was smitten.

Luckily for John, Jane really liked him too, and it wasn't long before they started a
secret love affair, spending their work time kissing in the deep storage area and fondling
each other in the toilets. However, Jane was no walkover, and much to John's chagrin, had
not yet put out. After one of their sessions in the toilet, John would be stumbling
around all day with blue balls if he didn't go masturbate to relieve himself. He had
explained this problem to Jane many times, but she kept telling him she just wasn't ready.

One day, after a particularly steamy bout of passion with Jane in the toilets, John could
barely walk. His balls felt like they were going to explode and the pain was giving him
horrible stomach cramp. He had to do something about it, but unfortunately he couldn't as
his supervisor, Steve was watching over him all day so that his performance could be evaluated.
Steve watched John stumbling around, barely able pick up a crate, let alone move it anywhere
and grumbled as his scribbled furiously in his notepad.

John had to escape from Steve's watchful eye for just a minute. John knew that if he
could somehow get rid of Steve he could have the wank he was so desperate for.

After shuffling around for a good fifty minutes, John noticed there was some water leaking
through a crack in the floor, slowly creating a puddle. "Are you going to fix that today?"
said Steve, sternly. "Yes, I'll get right on it, sir," replied John as he stumbled very
slowly over to where the water was leaking from. "Oh come on, we don't have all day! You know
that I am grading your performance and my grade is going to heavily influence any adjustments
made to your salary," shouted Steve. "Oh, god! The sound of that water running... I'm going
to the toilet, and when I get back I want that mess sorted out or I'll be recommending you
be downgraded!"

Although John knew that he was probably in for a pay reduction, at least he would be able
to finish off what Jane had started whilst Steve was gone. John propped himself against a
large crate, unbuckled his military slacks and pulled out his aching cock. He started to
slide his hand up and down the shaft to get himself going, but then all of a sudden a familiar
voice beckoned him from within the crate he was leaning on.

"Come in! Quick!", said Jane. John jumped into the crate and grabbed Jane, ripping off her
yellow armour just as fast as he could. Jane snatched his dangling penis, gripping his tight
and pulling it towards her. "OH GOD! I want you in me!" Jane shrieked. Upon hearing this,
John's eyes lit up, his lust for Jane burning like never before. "I'm going to fuck you so
hard you'll pass out," John said with vigour. "Even if we get shipped off to zone 9 in this
crate I don't care. I won't stop until your body is exhausted, until you have come so much
I have to spend the next week mopping it up!" And with that, John thrust his massively erect
dong hard into Jane. "Urrrggghhhhaaaarrrggh!" cried Jane in ecstasy. Jane was so tender, her
thighs warm and trembling as John withdrew for the next stroke. "OH MY GOD!" Jane screamed,
"it's so fucking huge!"

The crate rocked violently as John pushed his moderately muscular torso toward Jane again.
The pair yelled loud as they became joined once more. John's strong hands gripped Jane's
strong hips as the two embraced. Jane's breasts were bigger than John's wildest dreams could
have ever allowed them to be. Her yellow armour was so tight they seemed quite reasonable to
John before - maybe even just a b or c cup. What John saw in front of him, Jane's heaving,
sweating bosom, was nothing like in his dreams. These things were G or even H - each as big as
John's head. The fire in John's body was burning out of control, he shoved his head in
between Jane's breasts and rubbed his face against them. It felt amazing. Although they were
perhaps a little more muscular than John would really have liked, the size more than made
up for it, and as John lifted Jane up and pinned her against the side of the crate, he pushed
his face even further between her gigantic bosom and...

...prematurely ejaculated. John let out an intense grunt as he felt pints of his passion
flow into Jane's vagina. Jane felt it too, and it was so intense she didn't care it was over
sooner than she wanted. The semen rush was so powerful and in such volume it seeped down Jane's
thick thighs onto the base of the crate and below John's feet. John slipped, unable to regain
control, falling onto his shotgun (which was loaded with 26 shells, for the record.)

Jane let out a scream, the likes of which John had never heard before. "Oh yeah, baby,
you like what I'm givin'!" John yelled at her, as he took a few more quick thrusts before
his erection faded into insignificance. Jane didn't respond. "Wow, looks like we are about done
here, baby. You were amazing," John said softly. "Your come is everwhere and you seem
about as exhausted as you could be, so hop off now. I've got to get on with work before Steve
gets back from the toilet." John pushed Jane off him and picked himself up. As John was
putting himself back in his trousers, he noticed a trail of red leaking into the light just
outside the crate. "Oh, you were on your period all this time, baby. Why didn't you tell me?"
Jane didn't respond. John hadn't heard the shotgun go off since he had hit his head hard
from falling over at the moment of the blast and thought the noise was caused by banging his
head on something. John, reached down to pick Jane up and noticed she was limp.

"Jane?" said John. "Are you OK? Was I too rough?" Still nothing. John withdrew his marine
issue flashlight and switched it on. The battery was almost gone, but it was still enough to
make out the gibbed remains of Jane's shotgun exploded face littered across the crate.

"JANE! NO!" Screamed John. "WHO DID THIS TO YOU? TELL ME!" He cried as he bent down as if to
talk to the lifeless corpse at his feet. "WHAT HAVE THEY DONE TO YOU!? I WILL MAKE IT ALL
BETTER! I WILL MAKE THEM PAY FOR WHAT THEY HAVE DONE! I WILL MAKE THEM ALL PAY IN BLOOD!" All
those years of working at Outpost 47, cleaning up urine, not seeing any action (of any kind)
and eating marine issue tinned sardines for every meal of every day had put John in a very
delicate state of mind, and seeing the one person he cared for dead at his feet at sent him over
the edge. John was mad and wanted revenge against whatever or whomever had taken his beloved
Jane from him.

John picked up an axe (covered in Jane's blood), his shotgun and remaining 25 shells and
emerged from the crate...


*A minor detail, but since there was so little action at the outpost, on some days there would
only be 84 or even as few as 69 stationed at Outpost 47.

However, all but one of them agreed prior to testing, and the one that
didn't was in a coma so I was unable to get written consent and had to
ask its trainer if I could use it. The coma was not a consequence of
playing this level, or Quake, but I cannot be held responsible for
anyone who enters a coma as a direct result of playing this level.
